The Penn State Smeal Center for the Business of Sustainability accelerates the integration of sustainability in business through:

The Center provides programs and services for companies, faculty, and students (such as this website Major Sustainability), research seminars, an annual grant program, case competitions, Penn State Executive Education short courses, a graduate certificate in business sustainability strategy, and much more.
Office of Diversity Enhancement Programs
The Penn State Smeal College of Business strives to build a community that welcomes, celebrates, and promotes diversity.
The Office of Diversity Enhancement Programs (DEP) leads the effort to provide an inclusive environment for the entire Smeal community. DEP runs the Diversity Committee and Diversity Taskforce which focus on curricular changes and broader changes to culture, policies and programs respectively. Students can find a welcoming environment and take advantage of:

- Personalized academic planning
- Corporate networking opportunities
Tarriff Center for Business Ethics and Social Responsibility
There are four key components to the Tarriff Center’s mission:

- To emphasize and advance the role of business in making the world a better place
- To complement Penn State Smeal’s culture of honor and integrity
- To strengthen Smeal’s leadership in advancing ethical business practices locally, nationally, and globally
- To promote lifelong learning surrounding business ethics and social responsibility
The Tarriff Center furthers its mission through teaching, research, and engagement. The Center offers opportunities for students, faculty, and staff inside of Smeal – as well as alumni, community members, business leaders, and recruiters – to engage in center initiatives in valuable ways.
Penn State Sustainability Institute
The Penn State Sustainability Institute aims to spread sustainability across Penn State and its functions. The Sustainability Institute focuses on forming partnerships that are crucial to advancing sustainability throughout an entire university. As a part of its Two-Year Strategic Horizon and Vision, the Sustainability Institute strives to transform systems, policies, and opportunities around sustainability across the whole organization and serve as an example of the value of this integrated approach at a large institution of higher education.
Penn State Institutes of Energy and the Environment
The Institutes of Energy and the Environment (IEE) connects and supports interdisciplinary teams of researchers that are solving some of the world’s most difficult energy and environmental challenges.
Our world needs abundant, clean, safe, and affordable energy. Our planet also needs innovative solutions to sustain a healthy, protected environment. Together, we find answers that advance our local, state, national, and global communities.
